November 2024 reading is a wrap! Did you have a memorable reading month?
November 2024 Reading Wrap Up

Out of 15 books completed, I had one 5-star read, one 4.5 star read (rounded to 5), nine 4-star reads, and four 3-3.5-star reads. Lots of ARCS (advance reader copies) this month. I experienced one DNF.
My most engaging and memorable reads were Heroes by Alan Gratz (middle grade) and The Answer is No by Fredrik Backman (short story).

The Great Hippopotamus Hotel by Alexander McCall Smith
3.5 Stars. #25 in a (stand alone) tired series that I can’t quit. This one was better than the last few.
3 Short Stories: The Bookstore Sisters and The Bookstore Wedding by Alice Hoffman; Holiday Hideaway by Mary Kay Andrews
3 Stars each. Contemporary Women’s Fiction. Not reviewed.
DNF: Orbital by Samantha Harvey
Unpopular opinion! Outlier alert! I grabbed the audio version when it became available via Libby. After I fell asleep on multiple occasions, I tried listening while driving and still couldn’t focus on it. I think the print version is the way to go with this one. I may try again when my library hold is available. But…. You might imagine my disappointment when Orbital beat out James (my best read of the year) for the Booker Prize. So, my enthusiasm for Orbital has greatly subsided.

What a fab bookish month Carol!
Thanks! But now Iโm behind on reviews!
The amount of reading you is astounding! I look forward to your review of The Liberty Scarf and the historical novel by Patricia McBride. I also might give The Answer if No a try.
You must read The Answer is No purely for a fun brain break! ๐
I definitely will read it. Thanks!
