10 Destinations in the Titles

I’m linking up today with That Artsy Reader Girl for Top Ten Tuesday. Today’s prompt is Destinations in the Titles (names of places I’d like to visit). So many destination titles to choose from!
***Titles are links to my reviews or to Amazon affiliate links.
(In no particular order)
Christmas at the Little Paris Hotel by Rebecca Raisin
Contemporary Women’s Fiction
I will go to Paris tomorrow if you invite me! My reservation will be at this book-themed boutique hotel.
The Maui Effect by Sara Ackerman
Contemporary Women’s Fiction
Always “yes” to Maui! All of Ackerman’s books are set in Hawaii. Most are histfic, but this new release (11/19/24) is contemporary. My fav of hers is Radar Girls.
The Berlin Apartment by Bryn Turnbull
Historical Fiction
When the Berlin Wall goes up, is your apartment in West or East Berlin? Can you imagine a wall going up overnight to separate your city? Your family? Your loved ones? It would be sobering to visit this historical site.
Wartime at Bletchley Park by Molly Green
Historical Fiction (WWII London)
I’ve read several stories set at Bletchley Park. My favorite is The Rose Code, but Bletchley isn’t in the title. I’d love to tour this fascinating place.
The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek by Kim Michele Richardson
Historical Fiction
It would be interesting to visit this rural mountain community and to imagine the life of a pack horse librarian as she promotes literacy and delivers books.
Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer
Historical Fiction (Contemporary and WWII)
I’ve read a few books set in the Channel Islands, and this one is probably the most memorable. I’d love to visit Guernsey and my blogging friend Nicki @ The Secret Library Book Blog.
84, Charing Cross Road by Helene Hanff
Nonfiction (memoir)
Bookstore destination for the win! Fans of epistolary and books about books will love this heartfelt story.
The Last Train to London by Meg Waite Clayton
Historical Fiction (WWII)
I’m not sure I’ve be brave enough to smuggle and transport children out of Nazi-occupied Europe, but I’d enjoy a trip to London any day of the week.
The Cornish Midwife (Cornish Cove series) by Jo Bartlett
Contemporary Women’s Fiction
This is one of many stories I’ve read set in a quaint Cornish village. Cornwall is definitely a travel destination!
The Christmas Castle in Scotland by Julie Caplin
Contemporary Women’s Fiction
I’d love a return trip to Scotland, and I’d stay at this quaint and cozy bed and breakfast! I’d also meet up with my blogging buddy, Joanne @ Portobello Book Blog.

Thanks! Hopping over to read your post.
Looking forward to reading The Maui Effect, my son is stationed in Hawaii so Iโve been reading lots of novels set in Hawaii.
Such a great destination!
Good work–I’ve really enjoyed several of these.

Itโs a memorable read! Iโm hopping over to read your post.
I still canโt comment on your blog and I have no idea how to troubleshoot it. Sorry!
You sent me off to make a list of my own! A Gentleman in Moscow! Death Valley. 44 Scotland St. Postcards from France. Leaving Atlanta. Manhattan Beach. Pineapple Street. Next Year in Havana. Two Nights in Lisbon. Sea of Tranquility. I wanted to keep looking, but that’s 10!
How could I forget Gentleman in Moscow?! I could keep making lists! Thanks for commenting!
84, Charing Cross Road was on my list, too! And I would like to read The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society someday.
I hope you love Guernsey. Netflix made a nice film adaptation. Iโm hopping over to read your post.
I just read two different books set in Bletchley Park. I’d never heard of it before, but now that I’m familiar with it, I would definitely go check it out. It has such an interesting story!
Happy TTT!

Thanks for your comment (yes, found it in spam today!) Hopping over to read your post.
I didn’t realize Sara Ackerman has a new book out! I love Maui, but haven’t read any books set there. This one sounds like a must!
Previously all Ackermanโs books have been set around Pearl Harbor during WW2. This one is entirely contemporary and has a surfing theme and lots more romance. I prefer her histfic. If you love surfing and a bit of spice this is a good one!
Great list, Carol. We both had Christmas at the Little Paris Hotel on our lists.
Wouldnโt it be fun to spend a week there?
It definitely would. I would love to peruse their library.
Great list, Carol. I don’t think I could pick just one destination!๐๐
Thanks Sandy! I could make several lists!
No doubt!๐คฃ๐คฃ๐๐
Love your list. It gives me itchy feet and makes me want to start making travel plans.
Thanks Teresa! ๐
I might have guessed that Guernsey Potato Peel would have featured in your list ๐
Great to see Charing Cross Road there – a favourite book (and film) of mine
Lol! I still need to watch the Charing Cross movie!
A couple of these books would be great for my 12 Books of Christmas reading challenge. I hope you have a wonderful week.
