Today’s book list features destinations in the titles. Are you an armchair traveler or an IRL adventurer?

10 Destinations in Titles (a young woman stands in front of several launching hot air balloons)

I’m linking up today with That Artsy Reader Girl for Top Ten Tuesday. Today’s prompt is Destinations in the Titles (names of places I’d like to visit). So many destination titles to choose from!

***Titles are links to my reviews or to Amazon affiliate links.

(In no particular order)

Contemporary Women’s Fiction
I will go to Paris tomorrow if you invite me! My reservation will be at this book-themed boutique hotel.

Contemporary Women’s Fiction
Always “yes” to Maui! All of Ackerman’s books are set in Hawaii. Most are histfic, but this new release (11/19/24) is contemporary. My fav of hers is Radar Girls.

Historical Fiction
When the Berlin Wall goes up, is your apartment in West or East Berlin? Can you imagine a wall going up overnight to separate your city? Your family? Your loved ones? It would be sobering to visit this historical site.

Historical Fiction (WWII London)
I’ve read several stories set at Bletchley Park. My favorite is The Rose Code, but Bletchley isn’t in the title. I’d love to tour this fascinating place.

Historical Fiction
It would be interesting to visit this rural mountain community and to imagine the life of a pack horse librarian as she promotes literacy and delivers books.

Historical Fiction (Contemporary and WWII)
I’ve read a few books set in the Channel Islands, and this one is probably the most memorable. I’d love to visit Guernsey and my blogging friend Nicki @ The Secret Library Book Blog.

Nonfiction (memoir)
Bookstore destination for the win! Fans of epistolary and books about books will love this heartfelt story.

Historical Fiction (WWII)
I’m not sure I’ve be brave enough to smuggle and transport children out of Nazi-occupied Europe, but I’d enjoy a trip to London any day of the week.

Contemporary Women’s Fiction
This is one of many stories I’ve read set in a quaint Cornish village. Cornwall is definitely a travel destination!

Contemporary Women’s Fiction
I’d love a return trip to Scotland, and I’d stay at this quaint and cozy bed and breakfast! I’d also meet up with my blogging buddy, Joanne @ Portobello Book Blog.

  1. Looking forward to reading The Maui Effect, my son is stationed in Hawaii so Iโ€™ve been reading lots of novels set in Hawaii.

  2. You sent me off to make a list of my own! A Gentleman in Moscow! Death Valley. 44 Scotland St. Postcards from France. Leaving Atlanta. Manhattan Beach. Pineapple Street. Next Year in Havana. Two Nights in Lisbon. Sea of Tranquility. I wanted to keep looking, but that’s 10!

    • Previously all Ackermanโ€™s books have been set around Pearl Harbor during WW2. This one is entirely contemporary and has a surfing theme and lots more romance. I prefer her histfic. If you love surfing and a bit of spice this is a good one!

  3. I might have guessed that Guernsey Potato Peel would have featured in your list ๐Ÿ™‚
Great to see Charing Cross Road there – a favourite book (and film) of mine
