For today’s Top Ten Tuesday, I’m sharing ten series that I’ve enjoyed. Do we share a favorite?
Series I’ve Enjoyed

I’m linking up today with That Artsy Reader Girl for Top Ten Tuesday. Our official prompt is Book Series I Want to Catch Up On. Because I’m up to date on all my series and I don’t have any new series on the horizon, I’m listing ten of my favorite series. Do we share a favorite?
If you start a series that has been fully published, do you binge-read it? This is one of my favorite reading experiences! I don’t have a great deal of patience for waiting for the next installment (Looking at you, Vol 9 of Emma M. Lion!)

(In no particular order)
The Unselected Journals of Emma M. Lion by Beth Brower
Incomplete Series. I’ve read the 8 published volumes. They are quite addictive on audio.
Wartime Bookshop Series by Lesley Eames
Complete 6 Vol. Series. I enjoyed these WWII home front stories set in England. Women supporting women-
Library Girls of the East End Series by Patricia McBride
Complete 5 Vol. Series. I loved these young women of the East End during WWII as they worked to keep the library open and supported each other and the community.
Emmy Lake Chronicles (AKA Dear Mrs. Bird) Series by A.J. Pearce
Complete 4 Vol. Series. I grew to appreciate Emmy Lake, and my favorite of the series is probably Vol. 2.
Belles of London Series by Mimi Matthews
Complete 4 Vol. Series. Each installment can be read as a standalone and features one of the four friends. My favorite may be The Belle of Belgrave Square because it was the first one I read. I didn’t realize it was a series when I picked it up.
Book Woman Series by Kim Michele Richardson
Complete 3 Vol. Series. The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek is my favorite of the three.
Chronicles of Narnia Series by C.S. Lewis
Complete 7 Vol. Series. A Children’s Literature Modern Classic (fantasy).
Moonlight Harbor Series by Sheila Roberts
Complete 7 Vol. Series. An enjoyable chick-lit, women’s fiction series set in Washington State.
Gilead Series by Marilynne Robinson
Complete 4 Vol. Series. Gilead is my favorite of the four.
Shannahan Match Series by Jody Hedlund
Complete 4 Vol. Series. I enjoy Jody Hedlund’s witty, highly entertaining, and page-turning fiction!

Narnia is the only series from your list I’ve read. Of course, I love it.
Iโm hesitant to ever start a series due to the ongoing commitment. I looked through my Goodreads list today of series books Iโve read over the years and almost all were when I was reading a lot more YA books.
Good luck.
So many YA series!
How could I forget Narnia! I’m looking forward to reading it with my daughter when she’s older ๐
A reread is fun and then watch the movie adaptations! BTWโฆI heard a new movie adaptation is in the works! ๐
I am the same, The only one on your list that I have read (partly) were the Chronicles of Narnia.
I heard thereโs a new movie adaptation in the works for Narnia!
Loved Emmy Lake and Narnia!
Iโm sorry there arenโt more Emmy Lake! I just heard thereโs a new movie adaptation in the works for Narnia!
I’m with you on Emmy Lake and Narnia!
So good!
I hope to finish the Emmy Lake Chronicles series this year. I didn’t realize this was the last book in the series. That makes me a little sad.
Here’s my TTT for the week: https://readbakecreate.com/ten-series-i-hope-to-catch-up-on-in-2026/
I wish she had continued the series!
I’m the opposite to you – if I start a series and enjoy it, I want to space out the next books rather than read in quick succession.
I admire your restraint!
These sound good. Yay for being up to date on all your series!
Have a great week!

A good series is so enjoyable!
I still need to read the last of the Emmy Lake Chronicles.
Thanks for sharing your #TTT
Itโs a satisfying conclusion!
I enjoyed Gilead so much, and I read two more in the series, I think, but I have never gotten around to reading Jack.
I am still annoyed by how dismissive he was of Jack in Gilead.
I liked the Narnia books.
I just heard thereโs a new movie adaptation in the works!
I’ve read The Narnian Chronicles, the 1st Emmy Lake, the 1st Emma M. Lion, the 1st Book Woman, and 3 of the Gilead series. Other series I’ve loved and read all of, include: the Master and Commander Series by Patrick O’Brian, the No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency series (aren’t you a fan of those?), and 44 Scotland St series by the same author, the Sue Grafton alphabet mysteries with Kinsey Milhone, The Horatio Hornblower series, Alexander Kent’s seagoing series, Peter Mayle’s Provence books, and Laura Bradbury’s true life Grape series. You might like that one if you haven’t read it. There are 8 or 9 in the series now, all true, starting with My Grape Year, when she goes on an exchange year with France, from Canada. She meets a French boy and falls in love. Adventures ensue, and My Grape Wedding is the fifth book….I love them and I love Laura.
Thanks for the recs! I need a new series. Yes, Iโm a completist for the Ladies Detective series, but itโs become repetitive (write-rinse-repeat) that itโs one i read more out of habit than enjoyment. It annoys me that he doesnโt put more effort into it. I love the setting and characters but he needs to retire it.
My fave of Emmy Lake is book 2!
The Emma series is one that gets better the more you readโฆespecially the audio format!
Iโve never read a Graftonโฆ that might be a good project for 2027!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
This makes me realize that I never read the last Emmy Lake book! And not for any good reason — I just haven’t gotten around to it yet.
Itโs a satisfying conclusion to the series! But still I wish for a couple more installments!
I’ve read the first two Narnia books, but that’s it. And I do love a good series, especially if the side characters get as much growth as the main ones.
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!
I just heard thatโs a new movie adaptation of Narnia!
Funny, The Belles of London is on my list to catch up on. I’ve only read the first one. The Bookwoman is a great recommendation, I loved all three of them. Great choices, Carol.
Thanks Carla! I loved all the Belles of London!
I’ve never read all of Narnia. I read a few out loud to my kids but they lost interest. I’m not much for fantasy but for some reason feel I “should” finish the series some day. Emmy Lake, you know I like her! I forgot about the new Book Woman book. My Mom loved the Belles series, too.
I just heard thereโs a new movie adaptation of Narnia in the works!
