For Throwback Thursday I’m preempting my scheduled post to pay tribute to a “national treasure,” Dolly Parton. She will be missed. You might enjoy her memoir this week as you remember this amazing woman.

Welcome to #ThrowBackThursday where I highlight an older review or post a current review of a backlist title. This week in memory of a national treasure, I’m sharing Dolly Parton’s memoir.

I’m linking up with Davida @ The Chocolate Lady’s Book Review Blog for #ThrowbackThursday.

Summary of Storyteller:

Dolly Parton, Songteller is a celebration of a career in country music and a peek into the story behind the lyrics of a country music legend. Parton highlights 175 of her songs (singing some lyrics of each and narrated by Dolly herself if you have the audio version), and she shares some behind-the-scenes of each one, a few personal stories, and provides never-before-seen pictures (if you have the print version). A perfect read/listen for a country music fan or music lover.

A philanthropist, singer/songwriter, actor, humanitarian, businesswoman, literacy advocate, and all around humble, kind, and generous human…

  1. Wonderful choice, Carol. I listened to this one and loved it as there were clips of her songs throughout. She was one amazing person, entertainer, and philanthropist. Rest in Peace, Dolly.
