It’s time for the Summer 2026 TBR! Happy summer reading everyone! Share one book you’re excited to read this summer.
Summer 2026 TBR
I do not make a monthly TBR, but I enjoy curating a seasonal TBR. Ten priority reads over three months is just right. This leaves room for ARCS, library holds, and mood reading.
My Spring TBR reading experience was stellar (follow the link to see the details). I completed ten out of ten reads, and every one was a 4 star read! This might be a first!
I’m linking up today with That Artsy Reader Girl for Top Ten Tuesday: Summer 2026 TBR.

(In no particular order)
The Calamity Club by Kathryn Stockett

WHY: FOMO! I’ve been reading some good reviews, although there has been some criticism about the length (over 600 pages)
The Burning Side by Sarah Damoff

WHY: FOMO strikes again! I didn’t read The Bright Side (content), but this one appeals more to me, so I’ll give it a try.
Summer at Flora’s House by Freya North

WHY: This is installment #3 in the loosely connected novella series. I’ve enjoyed the first two, and this will give me ahead start on Novellas in November. Pub Date: 7/1/2026
Victory Days for the West India Dock Road by Renita D/Silva (ARC)

WHY: (ARC) I’m a die-hard series completist and this is installment #3. Pub Date: 7/1/2026
A Promise for Tomorrow by Leslie Eames

WHY: A new series featuring women on the home front during WWII by Leslie Eames! My favorite sub genre of WWII fiction.
No One’s Coming: The Rogue Heroes Our Government Turns to When There’s Nowhere Else to Turn by Kevin Hazzard

WHY: Sarah of Sarah’s Bookshelves Live Podcast gives this the highest praise, and I need a nonfiction read.
Good People by Patmeena Sabit

WHY: (ARC) Highly recommended by my blogging friend, Mairead @ Swirl and Thread Blog
Last One Out by Jane Harper

WHY: I’m a Jane Harper completist, and I’m eager to read this new release even though it’s been receiving mixed reviews (slow-paced). I withdrew my ARC request and I’m on the library hold list, so if I don’t enjoy it, I can DNF.
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

WHY: I try to read (or reread) one classic per year, and this is the August selection for my online book club (Modern Mrs. Darcey). I’ll participate in the group schedule.
Road Trip by Mary Kay Andrews

WHY: I need something light and escapist to round out my list. MKA is hit or miss for me, so I’m on a library wait list (no guilt DNFing).

Jane Harper and Freya North caught my eye today. Happy reading.
A bit nervous about the Harper but eager for the North!
Fab list, Carol. I’m looking forward to the Freya North, and also not sure about the Jane Harper! :/
Great minds think alike! ๐
Fab list and I hope you get to them, Calamity Club is one of my picks
Thanks! Iโve just started Calamity Club and itโs engaging!
