I need new books from these authors! Do you read faster than authors can write? This situation tops my list of #bookproblems .

Authors I’d Love New Books From
I’m a fast reader which means I read faster than my favorite authors can write!
I’m linking up today with That Artsy Reader Girl for Top Ten Tuesday: Authors I’d love new books from.
This was LAST WEEK’S topic but I ran out of time. It’s a topic I don’t want to miss and I have nothing for this week’s official prompt, so I’m playing catch up today.

Fredrik Backman
(I’m a Backman completest, so I’m eager for his next brilliant story.)
Lesley Eames
(The next installment of her Wartime Book Shop series…best read in order… is scheduled for July 4, 2024)
Sara Ackerman
(I’m an Ackerman completist, and my favorite is Radar Girls. I’ve heard that her next book will be a departure from Pearl Harbor historical fiction, so I’m eager to check it out.)
Marie Benedict and Victoria Christopher Murray
(I loved First Ladies by this writing team, and I’m eager to see what their next project might be.)
Patricia McBride
(A new-to-me author, I’m eager to read the next installment of the Library Girls of the East End series.)
Kate Quinn
(Although I chose to skip her last release, I’m always eager for the next Kate Quinn. My favorite of hers is Rose Code.)
Ashton Lattimore
(I loved Lattimore’s debut, All We Were Promised, and I’m eager to see what she does next.)
Jennifer Ryan
(One of my favorite categories is books about women on the home front during WWII. I loved The Kitchen Front and The Wedding Dress Sewing Circle….more like these please!)
Susan Meissner
(I’m impatiently waiting for the next Meissner book. My favorites include The Nature of Fragile Things. A Fall of Marigolds, and As Bright as Heaven.)
Stephanie Dray
(Dray’s most recent histfic, Becoming Madam Secretary, is a compelling read. She is one of my most trusted histfic authors, and I first discovered her when she collaborated with Laura Kamoie for My Dear Hamilton and America’s First Daughter. I will auto buy or request her next release.
QOTD:
I could list more, but I’ll stop with these. What author is at the top of your new release anticipation list?
ย Letโs Discuss!
Which author are you stalking for a new release?
Happy Reading Bookworms!
โAh, how good it is to be among people who are reading.โ

โI read because books are a form of transportation, of teaching, and of connection!
Books take us to places weโve never been, they teach us about our world, and they help us to understand human experience.โ

Definitely with you on Backman! I haven’t finished his available works but have loved the two I’ve tried. My list is here. ๐
I wonder what heโs working on!
I listened to Backman’s novella at the weekend. Beautiful and so moving.
Heโs a brilliant writer!
I agree. Haven’t read all his books but have thoroughly enjoyed the ones I have.
I hope you get new books from all of these authors soon! An author I like who died recently apparently wrote a book that was just recently discovered among his papers and hasnโt been published yet. So thereโs always hope. ๐
Wow! Thatโs fun! BTWโฆ.I always find your comments in spam so thatโs why you are receiving so many tardy notifications today! ๐คทโโ๏ธ
Absolutely love Fredrik Backman – I still have the Beartown series and a couple of his short stories to get through. I know at the beginning of January he was writing some short stories and hoping to publish one or two things this year (so fingers crossed!)
Backman is always worth the wait!
I love Susan Meissner. I think A Fall of Marigolds is my favorite! ๐๐
Yes! Thatโs a memorable story!
Great list! Meissner, Backman, and Ryan are favorites of mine as well. Eames is one I don’t think I’ve ever heard of before. I’m definitely going to check her books out. Thanks for the heads-up.
Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!

Eames writes lovely stories! Enjoy!
Most of my favorite authors have had books come out recently (Monica Wood, Leif Enger, Elizabeth Strout (soon), Ann Patchett, etc.) but one who hasn’t is Bonnie Garmus, the author of Lessons in Chemistry! That was her awesome debut, and so I’d love to read another! And hey, we have a favorite in common, Andy Weir’s Project Hail Mary, how about another from him??
Oh yeah! We need another from Weir! I have the new M Wood on my tbr! I also realized I failed to mention Mitch Albom. So many brilliant authors!
