Welcome to Throwback Thursday where I highlight an older review or post a current review of an old read. Today, I’m re-sharing a title by one of my favorite authors, Anxious People by Fredrik Backman. Highly relatable and well-drawn, extraordinarily human characters.

I’m linking up today with Davida @ The Chocolate Lady’s Book Review Blog for #throwbackthursday.

My Summary:

Anxious People is the story of a bank robber and a group of hostages at an open house…a bunch of idiots, really (in the most endearing sense of the word). But the real story behind the circumstances is about a bridge and so much more.

“We can’t change the world, and a lot of the time we can’t even change people. No more than one bit at a time. So we do what we can to help whenever we get the chance. We save those we can. We do our best. Then we try to find a way to convince ourselves that that will just have to….be enough. So we can live with our failures without drowning.”

    • It’s different from his others! I appreciate his “range” …..but the one thing all his work has in common is well drawn unique characters! I hope you enjoy it!

  1. I read it quite some time back …..and was so intrigued and amazed by the book…. sometimes wish there was a sequel, or another book in such a psychoanalytic genre
