Welcome to #ThrowBackThursday where I highlight an older review or post a current review of a backlist title. This week I’m featuring page-turning gothic historical fiction with sides of mystery and thriller, The House on Biscayne Bay by Chanel Cleeton
I’m linking up with Davida @ The Chocolate Lady’s Book Review Blog for #ThrowbackThursday.
My Summary:
Marbrisa, a glamorous mansion in Southern Florida, is the setting for this atmospheric historical mystery with gothic vibes. In dual timelines, we are introduced to two mysteries and two sets of characters (1918 and 1941) whom we follow in alternating chapters.
For fans of gothic historical mystery with a side of thriller…

Another book that has been on my TBR for a couple of years, but I haven’t read yet. I love Chanel Cleeton’s books. I checked out your original review, and remember that I was a bit reluctant about this one, but added it after you posted.
If you enjoy sides of mystery/thriller with your histfic you might enjoy it! I figured out the villain early on, but it was page turning!
Her new release about astronaut wives I didnโt enjoy as much as her othersโฆ.but great timing with current events!
I do enjoy a mystery with my histfic, so it should be right up my alley. You’re right, not that NASA is back to space exploration, I’m sure we’ll see more books with that topic in one way or another.
