What do you enjoy reading on rainy days?

A note of clarification: novella and short story designations tend to be used interchangeably. Generally, a novella is 200 pages or under and a short story is 65 pages or less (a short novella). In assigning categories today, I took the page count from Amazon, Kindle edition. Page counts vary between formats and editions. It’s murky.

I’m linking up today with That Artsy Reader Girl for Top Ten Tuesday: April Showers.

(in no particular order)

Short Story (68 pages). Classic quirky Backman.

Short Story (62 pages). Heartfelt and poignant.

Short Story (72 pages). My favorite story by Keegan celebrates compassion and one ordinary hero.

Short Story (57 pages). Intriguing histfic/time slip mashup.

Short Story (57 Pages). Heartfelt father/daughter story.

Novella (198 pages). Quirky and endearing.

Novella (96 pages). A thought-provoking adult fairy tale.

Novella (104 pages). Friends-to-more sweet romance. (closed door)

Novella (127 pages). A rainy afternoon might be the perfect opportunity to begin this gently told, character-driven series. Audio format recommended.

Reflective Essays. Rainy afternoons are perfect for essay reading and thoughtful reflection. Read in order or pick and choose from a variety of gently written essays.

Bite size and inspiring essays on cozy living. And, yes, the rain shower enhances Hygge!
