Today I’m sharing 10 books from my Goodreads “read shelf” with honorifics in the titles.

10 Books With Honorifics in the Titles

I Love Reading

When I scoured my Goodreads shelf for books I’ve read with honorifics in the title, I didn’t find many more than ten, so there’s not a great deal of variety. I’ve read and can recommend each title on my list (available reviews are linked)

  1. Great choices with some titles I’m very intrigued by. The last book I read with an honorific in the title was Dear Miss Lake which I finished just yesterday!

    • Thanks for stopping by and commenting! I think you’re right that the custom of children addressing adults with honorifics is disappearing.

  2. Great list, Carol. I love that you just included women. I have read Mrs. Lewis and Mrs. Bird. I have 4 others on my TBR shelf.

  3. The last title with an honorific that I read was actually Becoming Mrs. Lewis! I’ve read some of the other ones on your list, too. The one before that was….Mrs. Darcy’s Dilemma by Diana Burchall.

  4. Great minds think alike! I have DEAR MRS. BIRD, THE LAST GRAND DUCHESS, and BECOMING MADAM SECRETARY on my list this week, too. I also want to read MISS BENSON’S BEETLE and LADY TAN’S CIRCLE OF WOMEN. Awesome list, Carol ๐Ÿ™‚

    Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!
