February 2025 Reading Wrap Up

Did February seem like a quick month compared to January?
Out of 14 books completed, I was fortunate to experience three 4.5-star reads (one was a reread), seven 4-star reads, two 3.5-star reads, one 3-star read, and one 2-star read. No DNFs this month.
My most engaging and memorable fiction read in February was New Arrivals on West India Dock Road by Renita D’Silva. My Captivating Character of the Month is from this book. Join the Link Party hosted by yours truly…details in this post. Check it out!

ReRead: Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shafer
4.5 Stars (I wish we had heard from Juliet’s or Dawsey’s POV at the end). Historical Fiction, (1946) Book About Books and Book Club, Supportive Community, Slow -burn Romance, Guernsey (Channel Islands). I needed an audio book for an afternoon commute and thi audio book was available at the library, so I decided on a reread. I had read this twice in print before. It definitely holds up to a reread….lovely prose, colorful characters, and a poignant “found family” storyline. This is on my lifetime favs list and I’ve read it twice in print, watched the movie twice, and listened to the audio format. Do you have a favorite reread?

Nice post ๐ธ๐ธ
That is a lot of highly rated books. February had to be truly enjoyable on the reading front. I hope March is just as successful.
February was god to me! Happy March reading Carla!
***good***
Looks like a fab bookish month, Carol! ๐
Cant complain! Happy March reading!
Carol, you get the prize for reading 14 books in 28 days! I did well to read three books in February. I loved Guernsey book. I’ve read it twice, too.
But youโre also doing a lot of writing! Three is a good numberโฆenjoyment is the key!
Thank you, Carol. This week I’ve edited the devotional book I’ve written, so reading went by the wayside. Library books are piling up!
