  1. Great list! I’ll also add…
Under The Ivy – biography of Kate Bush by Graeme Johnson (music biography)
An Equal Music by Vikram Seth (contemporary fiction)
Utopia Avenue by David Mitchell (contemporary fiction)
Daisy Jones and the Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid (contemporary fiction)
Ever Rest by Roz Morris (me!!! contemporary fiction)

    • Thanks for all the recs! I actually forgot about Ever Rest! Iโ€™ll include it in my next updated list! I never read DJ so I didnโ€™t include it, but thatโ€™s a popular title! Thanks for commenting!

  2. I can’t think of any books with musical themes I’ve read. I do love Dolly Parton though and since you recommend My Life in Lyrics in audio format it might be a good walking read.

  3. I enjoyed The Chilbury Ladies’ Choir and Simon the Fiddler. The Violin Conspiracy has been on my TBR for… well… a very long time. I enjoyed reading your list and trying to remember which books I’d read.

  4. Adrian McKinty’s Sean Duffy series has book titles that are also song titles. I have made extensive playlists of songs mentioned throughout the books, mostly rock, until the last published one where, for some unknown reason, Sean suddenly becomes a classical music aficionado. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ“š

  5. Great list, Carol. I have read 5 of these, and 3 are on my TBR. I just added Ever Rest as well after reading your review on Goodreads. Thanks for the reminder about the ones I had forgotten about.
