Do you have bookish books (books about books) on your bookshelf?

When Susan @ BlogginBoutBooks posted her 2024 Bookish Books Reading Challenge, I impulsively broke my own rule about participating in reading challenges. Books about books? Sign me up! Well…as is typical of me, I forget to track them and post regular updates. That is not to say I don’t read them! I’m doing the reading and reviewing, just not the tracking. So today I’m listing all the books about books I’ve read so far in 2024 for my May entry.

โ€œI love the world of words, where life and literature connect.โ€ ~Denise J Hughes

โ€œReading good books ruins you for enjoying bad ones.โ€ ~Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society

  1. Hi, Carol – I love bookish books as well. Thank you for sharing these titles. The only one that I have read so far is The Christmas Bookshop by Jenny Colgan. I didn’t mind it – but I was totally in the Christmas reading grove at the time so that may have added to my enjoyment! <3

  2. I do like a bookish book and loved Jenny Colgan’s Christmas bookshop – which had 3 ticks from me in that it was by Jenny Colgan, set in Edinburgh, and had Christmas in the title. Thanks for linking up!

  3. YES! I’m so glad I was able to persuade you to break your rule about participating in reading challenges ๐Ÿ™‚ Looks like you’ve read some good ones. I haven’t read any of these, but most of them are already on my TBR list. I hadn’t heard of the East End series before. I’ll have to look that one up.

  4. How clever to include all your bookish books Carol! I’ve read the Wartime Book Club but that’s about all from your list! Thanks for joining us for #WOYBS, you always have such interesting sets of topics!

  5. I do like books about books too – I find myself drawn to a story that is set in a bookshop or a library. And I also keep trying to do reading challenges, despite not having nearly as much time to read as the challenges usually demand! Looks like you’ve done a great job with this challenge. Happy Reading!
