Those are all things that attract me to books as well, Carol. Multi-generational and Found Family are two of my favourites.
Memorable stories!
Not surprisingly, I also love a lot of these, especially: sisters, found family, multi-generational, quirky, and atmospheric/strong sense of place. That last one is probably my favorite. I just love a rich setting that feels true-to-life.
