Ten Favorite Light Romance
I’m hopping aboard the “Love Freebie” train today and linking up with That Artsy Reader Girl: February Love Freebie
“I LOVE a sweet romance!”
You’ll notice looking at this list that I love stories where romance is served as a SIDE. I adore romance when it’s served along with substantial content. That’s why I’m categorizing this list as “light” romance because the romance is not the main focus of the stories. It’s unlikely that these titles are actually shelved as “romance.”
Do you see any favorites?

I have read four of these, but have a couple of them on my TBR as well. II have a check out now. Nice list Carol.
Have you tried Edenbrooke? It’s cute but light!
I haven’t! Thanks for the rec! 🙌
The only one I have read is The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie, Carol, which I adored. ❤📚
I’m happy to hear we both love it!
Thanks so much for including Finding Love at Hedgehog Hollow in your list. Some fabulous books there. Love the title of Colleen Oakley’s 🙂
You’re welcome Jessica! It was so fun to make this list and remember the stories!
Like you, I like a good love story but want it to be part of the bigger story. Several of these ate already on my TBR.
They are TBR worthy! Enjoy!
Lovely list Carol!
Thanks! I pulled it together fast!
I’m with you! I don’t mind romance, I just don’t want it to be the main plot. That’s not enough for me. I need more substantial content. I’ve only read one of the books you listed, although most of the others are on my TBR list.
Thanks for understanding! These are all TBR worthy! Enjoy!
I’m reading The Blue Castle now, and I’m loving it! What a great list — I’d like to read Radar Girls too, since I’ve read an earlier book by this author (The Lieutenant’s Nurse) and really enjoyed it.
I’m due for a reread of Blue Castle! I think Radar Girls is her best yet! Enjoy! Thanks for commenting!
I recently enjoyed The Guernsey Literary book and enjoyed it. I also like a side of romance. Here’s my post: https://cindysbookcorner.blogspot.com/2022/02/top-ten-tuesday-love-books.html
I’m happy to hear we share the Guernsey love!
I don’t think I have ever read a light Romance, although right now I am reading a cozy mystery which I don’t think is too far off.
I like cozy mystery once in a while!
The Night Circus
Thanks for the rec! 👍
