Nice rec’s:) My mother has very varied tastes in books, my ARCs tend to keep her busy though.
Thanks! My mom and I share a kindle account, so she reads mostly what I read…including ARCs!
Great idea, Carol💜
Thanks Jonetta! 😍🙌
My mother (of blessed memory) was a huge reader, but she really loved those stupid bodice ripper romance novels you could buy really cheaply at the grocery store.
I lost my mom 23 years ago and my mother-in-law 2 years before that, but I did find some to put on my TBR. Great recommendations Carol.
Thanks Carla. I’m sorry you lost your mom too soon. 💔 Although I don’t think we ever grow old enough to lose a parent. My mom will be 94 in September! We lost my dad 10 years ago.
Cancer took a toll on my family. My dad died of colon cancer when he was only, my mom was ovarian cancer at the age of 70, my mother-in-law died of leukemia in her early 70s and my husband of pancreatic cancer at the age of 68. Needless to say, I am a huge supporter of the Canadian Cancer Society. So wonderful that your mom is still around and that you get to share so much with her.
I’m sorry for all your loss Carla. I lost my sister at age 60 to cancer…..my dad to kidney failure. The goodbyes are all heartbreaking. 💔💔💔
My mom used to read a ton. In fact, if we couldn’t find her, it was a pretty good bet she was hiding in the bathroom with a book! She does more sewing now than reading, but she happened to mention that her old Kindle wasn’t working well, so my sister and I got her a new one for Mother’s Day. She loves it 🙂
Funny story about your mom hiding out with a book! I’ve done that! A kindle is a perfect gift! I hope it jump starts her reading again! My mom shares my kindle account!
