Great list, Carol! I have not read any of your top five, but The Rose Code and The Nature of Fragile Things are on my TBR.
The Last Bookshop in London by Madeline Martin was my favorite histfic read this year and also made my favorites of the year. The London House by Katherine Reay was also a favorite.
Thanks Gretchen! You have a couple of great reads to look forward to!
Last Bookshop made my top ten last year! A memorable and lovely read! I need to check out The London House because I loved How to Find Love in a Bookshop by K Reay
Oh, I’ve heard about The Rose Code, so I’m glad you liked it!! Nice list and thanks for joining us this year!! ❤️
Thanks Meghan! Looking forward to another great reading year!
“The Nature of Fragile Things ” is on my 2022 TBR. Five of my favorite historical fiction titles from this past year were: “Painting the Light” by Sally Cabot Gunning, “Small Things Like These” by Claire Keegan, “The Pull of the Stars” by Emma Donoghue, “Margreete’s Harbor” by Eleanor Morse, and “Still Life” by Sarah Winman.
I think you’ll like Fragile Things because it has a gentle side of mystery/thriller! Thanks for your recs Lynne! I do have Still Life on my TBR.
Such an interesting list. I love historical novels but haven’t read any of these. Yet.
My TTT this week.
It’s interesting how each person’s list is so different! I’m hopping over to read your post.
These all look amazing — in fact, three are already on my to-read list! I’m most looking forward to The Nature of Fragile Things, but I do want to read the Sara Ackerman and Kate Quinn books too!
All three are so good and TBR worthy! Enjoy!
