6 Favorite Historical Fiction in 6 Months [2021] #6BooksIn6Months #ThrowBackThursday

July 1, 2021

6 in 6 [2021]

6 best histtorical fiction in 6 months (collage of covers)

The Six in Six is a meme created by Jo at The Book Jotter At the end of June, we are halfway through the year,  so the idea is to share the books we have read in these first 6 months. When I looked at my list of the top 6 so far this year, I realized that they were all Historical Fiction. You’re not really surprised, are you?!

I’m also linking up today with Davida @ The Chocolate Lady’s Book Review Blog for #ThrowBackThursday (since I’ve previously reviewed 5 of the 6 titles).

In the true spirit of the 6 in 6 meme, we are asked to share 6 books in 6 categories. Coming up with 36 books will take more brain power than I have available right now, so I will share 6 of the best historical fiction books I’ve read so far this year.

  1. What a great idea for this month’s meme! Thanks for joining, and I agree with you about The Rose Code (although I think I read another book that edged that one out of the #1 spot).

  2. What varied historical fiction you read! If you liked The Rose Code, have you seen The Bletchley Circle? It’s a British TV mini series that also aired on PBS. I absolutely loved the first series that is about the women codebreakers. They produced a second series but it wasn’t as good (new actresses and set in San Francisco after the war). You should definitely check this out. I think it might be included in Amazon Prime video.

  3. I haven’t read any of these, Carol! 🤦‍♀️ I requested several, including The Rose Code, but wasn’t approved for any. Glad they were all such wonderful reads for you. ❤📚

  4. Ok I’ve only read The Most Beautiful Girl but I’ve needed more HF! Great suggestions.

  5. Thank you for joining in. A simple six books is still a great way to join in. I loved The Rose Code, had me hooked all the way through. Bletchley Park has always fascinated me.

  6. Thanks for joining in and 6 books is just perfect! I loved The Rose Code and everything to do with Bletchley Park.

  7. What great choices Carol. I have read three and really enjoyed them and the other three are on my TBR already. I really need to get to the ones I haven’t read yet. 📚😀
