  1. Quite a few of these are on my bookshelf waiting to be read! I am really looking forward to The Rose Code, We Were the Lucky Ones and The Girl with the Louding Voice! x

  2. “The Invention of Wings” is a great book. It reminded me a of Barbara Kingsolver whom I also love. As I’m sure do you.

I read “A Man Called Ove” by Fredrick Backman. It was an alright read but I didn’t want to read more by him.

Definitely a great list, some good inspiration there.

    My TTT.

  3. I’ve been hearing very good things about The Nature of Fragile Things. Your description (“histfic with generous servings of mystery, thriller, and friendship”) makes it sound even better!

  4. We seem to have similar reading tastes, especially in historical fiction. I’ve only read a couple of the books on your list, but I loved them as well. A FALL OF MARIGOLDS by Susan Meissner is actually on my list today because it was the first book I read by her and it made me want to go read all her books! She’s a great author.

    Happy TTT!

  5. Wonderful list Carol. I had a hard time imagining this post, so didn’t participate this week, but perhaps I should have. I have had the audible version of A Place for Us for quite awhile, I need to listen to it. I also have The Girl with Louding Voice. Time to just slot them both in.
