Clock Dance by Anne Tyler
#throwbackthursday
Genre/Categories: Women’s Fiction, Contemporary Fiction, Domestic Life
This year as part of Blog Audit Challenge 2020 I’m going back to update older review posts. On Thursdays, I’ll be re-sharing a few of these great reads, and today I’m eager to share my review of the compelling Clock Dance by Anne Tyler….a quiet story of an ordinary woman finding her voice.
I’m linking up today with Davida @ The Chocolate Lady’s Book Review Blog for #throwbackthursday.

My Summary:
“In Clock Dance, Anne Tyler provides a compelling characterization of Willa Drake from a childhood with an unpredictable mother, to her college years and engagement, to her later years as a young widow rebuilding her life, and, finally, to her senior years which find her longing for attachment, family, and a place to belong. In this bittersweet journey, readers root for Willa as she experiences grief, renewed hope, and new direction for her life.”

QOTD:
Have you read Clock Dance or is it on your TBR?
I have never heard of Clock Dance before but life stories are often powerful!
Yes I agree!
This sounds like a great idea for a Throwback Thursday. I might have to try this myself. Some of my old posts are dreadful and could use an overhaul.
Thanks! I’ve been doing it every week for a year now and it does feel great to update old posts!
Do a lot of people go back and interact on the earlier post? It’s a good idea!
Sometimes! What surprises me most is the number of people who haven’t read the book or weren’t even aware of it or the author. It reminds me that promotion of back list books is important! Plus, it’s fun for me to revisit past reads!
Haven’t heard of it! Sounds heartwarming.
Anne Tyler is brilliant in writing character driven stories!
I’ve never heard of this book or author before! I love it when older characters reflect on their lives.
Same! 🙌
