“Ah, how good it is to be among people who are reading.”
~Rainer Maria Rilke

“I love the world of words, where life and literature connect.”
~Denise J Hughes

“Reading good books ruins you for enjoying bad ones.”
~Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society

  1. Galentine’s Day is such a special day. I love the fact that you’re highlighting it. Platonic love matters, too.

  2. There is nothing better than celebrating Galentine’s Day with your best friends! I think two of my favourite Galentine’s Day books would be Everything I Know About Love by Dolly Alderton and Queenie by Candice Carty-Williams. Both celebrate the power of female friendship, particularly with regards to millennials. Three Things I Know About Elsie by Joanna Cannon is another very special book that depicts a heartwarming friendship between two women in a care home!! I loved your take on this week’s theme and how its prompted me to remember some of my favourite books with friendship at the centre!
