September Reading Wrap Up

\September Reading Wrap Up

September was a mixed result reading month. Three DNFs had me spinning my wheels and took time away from the number of books I wanted to read. I read a total of six books, and I am happy to report that one of those was a five-star read. Find all my September reads listed below in order of Star Rating. Keep in mind that I normally recommend five- and four-star reads on the blog; three-star reads receive mixed reviews from me for various reasons; and two-star reads are books that were not for me (this month brought me one of these). One star reads are usually shelved as DNF.

My favorite read of the month is The Dearly Beloved; in fact, it will likely be my best read of the year.

Did we read any of the same books?

Titles are Amazon affiliate links and my available reviews are linked.

The Dearly Beloved by Cara Wall

  1. OOooOoOoO!! THE DEARLY BELOVED is a family drama!? I FUCKING LOOVEE FAMILY DRAMAS!!! 😍😍❤️❤️

And seems like September was a good reading month for you, although 3 DNFs might have left you feeling a bit bummed, huh!? All that effort and the story still doesn’t resonate…meh! Still it’s better to just leave them…❤️❤️

I WISH YOU A MOST AMAZING OCTOBER EVERRRR!!! 😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️❤️

    • Ha ha! I was so bored with Belgravia and its privileged characters and their “problems.” It was an interesting peek at the times and women’s roles/expectations etc!
At first I liked Lager Queen… then I started wishing the characters were more likeable….and then it was a slippery slope to not caring! I’m discovering that I do need some likable characters to enjoy the read!
Thanks so much for taking a moment to comment! I always love to hear other reactions!

  2. I loved The Dearly Beloved too. Just finished it last night. And while I finished The Last Romantics, it was just good enough that I didn’t put it down. I have Hum If You Don’t Know The Words by Bianca Marais on my TBR stack now. I love seeing everyone’s list from MMD Quck Lit.

    • Thanks for commenting! I like to blog hop on quick lit day too! I hope you enjoy Hum! If you do, follow it up with If You Want to Make God Laugh. Happy reading!
