Happy Friday! #ThePositivityWave

August 30, 2019

Hello and Happy Friday!

I’m joining with Meggy @ Chocolate’n’Waffles to spread some positivity amongst all the doom and gloom on social media and in the news. Please feel free to join in with your own Happy Friday post and link to Meggy. Thanks to Nicki at The Secret Library Book Blog and Jonetta at The Blue Mood Cafe for the inspiration!

Positivity

Gratitude and Positivity are FREE and make every day BETTER!

Mild Summer!

I’m grateful that so far we’ve experienced a mild summer in my neck of the woods! No extreme heat waves…YET! I haven’t resorted one time to posting this favorite summer cartoon!

Celebrating a Birthday!

Birthdays are always fun for the young and young-at-heart!

Fall TV!

It won’t be long now and new fall programming will commence! Do you have favorite television programs? A few that I look forward to including This is Us (I love this show because it’s structured like a multilayered, complex, literary family drama!), Blue Bloods, Chicago Fire, Chicago PD, Chicago Med, NCIS, The Rookie, The Crown: Season 3 (Netflix), and, of course, Jeopardy (for the nerd in me!).

Back to School

The bittersweet aspect of retiring from teaching is missing out on the “back to school” anticipation and vibe! I love “back to school” supplies, planners, new outfits, and the excitement of learning! I definitely don’t miss the early wake-up call!

    • It’s probably been hotter up there? We’ve had high 80s and low 90s….a couple mid 90s. But as long we we stay south of 100 I’m a happy camper! Happy weekend!

      • I think we had a couple of days in late spring where it spiked a bit over 100 but no days in July or August!! If we were a few miles more inland it would be different! My Edison bill and I are happily coexisting!!! My son lived in Turlock for a while so I know it can get hot up there! Hoping for a mild September too!

    • That cartoon cracks me up every time! It’s so true! I’m sorry you’ve been suffering with the heat…hope you get relief soon!
I don’t especially like birthdays either….this was MY birthday and he was helping me blow the candles! I’m always happy to share a birthday with a child!
